Barber County 4-H Crops Team Wins State Contest

The team of Carson Cargill, Keaton Wiske, and Bryce Duvall participated in the virtual State Crops Contest in November. Normally this contest is held during the Kansas State Fair, but due to COVID-19, the contest was moved to November and changed to a virtual format.

Individually, Cargill placed 2nd, Duvall 3rd, and Wiske 5th overall. As a team, the Barber County trio placed 1st overall in the Senior Division, out distancing the 2nd place team from Shawnee County by 55 points. Rounding out the top 5 were teams from Kingman County, Central Kansas District and Frontier District.
