YQCA A Success
On May 22, 2021, a group of Barber County 4-H and FFA members completed and received certification in YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals). The course covered topics such as, Animal Well Being, Food Safety and Life Skills. In addition, they learned the importance of record keeping, animal health and food labeling. YQCA is a requirement to exhibit livestock at the Kansas State Fair and Kansas Junior Livestock Show and youth must be re-certified annually.
