Achievement Banquet

The Barber County 4-H Achievement Banquet was Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Hardtner Community Building. The theme this year is, "Fall into 4-H." The 2022-2023 4-H Council Officers hosted the event. Cort Blunk emceed with help from Jessica Jahay, Martin Mills and Kooper Wesley.

Extension Council's Appreciation Award

Friend of Extension

The Extension Council took the opportunity to surprise Bill and Janet Smith with the Extension Appreciation Award, sometimes called the Friend of Extension. Bill and Janet have been volunteers for 15 years with Entomology and 8 years with Geology. Each year, the youth collect countless specimens and select only the best for display in their cases.

Rick Wesley was selected as one of the 4-H Alumni.

Friends of 4-H

Nittler Farms was selected as on of the Friends of 4-H. They were unable to join us. Kooper Wesley will present the plaque to them.

Terry Underwood Honored

Terry Underwood was honored as a Friend of 4-H. Terry's many years helping youth and years served on the Fair Board were highlight. Debbie Randle accepted the plaque. Terry's sister also came to represent the family.

Adult Leader Recognition

1st year Leaders

Adult Leaders

Adult Leaders receive a 1st year certificate and pins to celebrate 5, 10, 15, or 20 years as volunteers. Recognized for 10 years of service were Gina Woods Paul Smith & Dr. Tom Carr. Recognized for 15 years of service were Mike and Nanci Marshall and Bill and Janet Smith.

Cloverbuds are those members too young to be in 4-H. They have this option for the years they are 5 and 6. In this photo are Grady and Paisley.

Year Seals

1st Year

To recieve a year seal, members must complete the personal page, 4-H story and update permanent records. For the 1st year, they receive a certificate with the 1st seal on it. Recieving 1st year recognition were Liam, Tanith, Averie, Emma, Paislee, Hayden, Dani, Piper, Clayton and Braylee.

2nd Year

Recieving 2nd year recognition was Shayleigh Hill.

3rd Year

Recieving 3rd year recognition were Boyd and Dyson.

4th Year

Recieving 4th year recognition were Callen, Jancey, Janda, Breckyn, Cara, and Chloe.

5th year

Recieving 5th year recognition were Keagan, Kayla, Kenli, and Beau.

Madisyn recieved 6th year recognition. She was not present for a photo.

7th Year

Recieving 7th year recognition were Garen, Kooper, and Ruston.

Isabella recieved 8th year recognition. She was not present for a photo.

10th Year

Recieving 10th year recognition was Jessica.

Rhyan recieved 11th year recognition and Grace recieved 12th year recognition. They were not present for a photo.

Achievement Levels

Membership Pin

The Achievement Levels increase in difficulty each year to reflected on expected growth in involvement, leadership and citizenship. For the Membership Achievemnet, members must complete the personal page, 4-H story and update permanent records and attend a majority of meetings. Recieving Membership Pins were Tanith, Averie, Emma, Paislee, Hayden, Dani, Piper, Clayton and Braylee.

Bronze Level

Recieving Bronze Achievement Pins were Ruston and Shayleigh.

Clover Level

Recieving Clover Achievement Pins were Boyd and Dyson.

Emerald Level

Recieving Emerald Achievement Pins were Callen, Jancey, Janda, Breckyn, Cara and Chloe.

Silver Level

Recieving Sliver Achievement Pin was Keagan.

Silver Guard

Recieving Silber Guard Achievement Pins were Kayla, Kenli, Beau and Kooper.

Gold Guard

Not Pictured are Garen recieving the Leadership Achievement Pin and Isabella recieving the Gold Achievement Pin. Jessica received the Gold Guard Achievement Pin. This is the highest level of the 9 achievement levels.

County Champion Records

Senior County Champion

Members wanting to have their project records judged can submit copies to have considered for county champion in each of the projects. These are judged in 3 different age groups, Junior 7-9 year olds, Intermediates 10-13 year olds, and Seniors 14-18 year olds.
